Present Continuous Tense

Present     = sekarang
Continous = sedang dilakukan
  Jadi, Present Continous Tense menyatakan suatu peristiwa atau kejadian yang terjadi pada saat ini dan sedang terjadi.

Formula

Positive                        | Subject + Tobe + Verb.ing + Object

Negative                      | Subject + Tobe + Not + Verb.ing + Object

          Positive Introgative   | Tobe + Subject + Verb.ing + Object + ?

Negative Introgative  | Tobe + Not + Subject + Verb.ing + Object + ?

"Tobe" pada awal kalimat di Positive intro dan negative intro berarti "Apakah"
"I" menggunakan tobe "am"
"They,We,You" menggunakan tobe "are"
"He,She,It" menggunakan tobe "is"

Contoh kalimat :
1. (+)    I am reading a book                             (Aku sedang membaca buku)
     (-)    I am not reading a book                      (Aku sedang tidak membaca buku)
  (+?)    Am I reading a book?                          (Apakah Aku sedang membaca buku?)
   (-?)    Am not I reading a book?                   (Apakah aku sedang tidak membaca buku?)
2. (+)    He is working in the office                  (Dia sedang bekerja di kantor)
     (-)    He is not working in the office           (Dia tidak sedang bekerja di kantor)
  (+?)    Is he working in the office?                (Apakah Dia sedang bekerja di kantor?)
   (-?)    Isn't he working in the office?           (Apakah Dia sedang tidak bekerja di kantor?)
3. (+)    They are watching movie                  (Mereka sedang menonton film)
     (-)    They are not watching movie           (Mereka sedang tidak menonton film)
  (+?)    Are they watching movie?                 (Apakah mereka menonton film?)
   (-?)    Aren't they watching movie?            (Apakah mereka sedang tidak menonton film?)

Present Continuous ini identik dengan kata "Now" yang berarti "Sekarang"
Contoh : My brother is buying a new bicycle now (Saudara laki-lakiku sedang membeli sepeda baru sekarang)


Keterangan waktu untuk Present Continuous Tense yang digunakan adalah:
Now, at present, right now, at the morning, this afternoon, this morning, today, nowdays, for the time being  and so on.
