Past Perfect Tense

Past      = masa lampau
Perfect = sempurna

Jadi, Past Perfect bentuk waktu yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan perbuatan atau peristiwa yang dimulai atau terjadi dimasa lampau dan terus berlangsung ataupun selesai dimasa lampau berikutnya.

Kalimat Nominal

+	Positive	Subject + had + been + Object
-	Negative	Subject + had + not + been + Object
+?	Positive Introgative	had + subject + been + Object + ?
-?	Negative Introgative	had + Not + subject + been + Object + ?

Kalimat Verbal

+	Positive	Subject + had + Verb3 + Object
-	Negative	Subject + had + not + Verb3 + Object

"had" pada awal kalimat di Positive intro dan negative intro berarti "Apakah"
